1985

Safeway Machinery Industry Corporation was founded by Chairman Mr. Hong in Qingshui District, Taichung City.

1990-2000

Driven by rapid growth and continuous business expansion, the original facility became insufficient, prompting the expansion of a new factory on the existing site. In 1990, the company launched the CHV-100, 130, 160, and 200 precision hydraulic vises—Taiwan’s first precision vises designed specifically for CNC machine tools.

During this period, the company developed numerous products that earned the prestigious Taiwan Excellence Award and won wide acclaim from all sectors.

  • MC mechanical machine Vise (CV series) and hydraulic vises (CHV series) won the Taiwan Excellence Award in 1997.
  • MC quick pneumatic machine Vise (PQV series) won the Taiwan Excellence Award in 1996.

2001-2010

As business continued to grow, the original facility was no longer sufficient. Consequently, Safeway moved to Wu Chi Dist. and constructed a new 3,300-square-meter plant in the Kuanlian Industrial Park, Wu Chi District, Taichung City. On January 1, 2001, the new facility officially opened and commenced operations.

Certified to ISO Quality Management standards in 2003.

Simultaneously launched high-precision products:
FMS Vise Series: Features an ultra-wide 1100 mm opening.
NC 4th-Axis Rotary Tables (170/217/256/322 Series): Engineered with large-bore bearings for high stability and precision.
MV Flexible Vise Series: Awarded the 2010 Taiwan Excellence Award and the SME Innovation Research Award.

2011-2020

Launched 5-axis rotary tables featuring large-bore bearings for maximum stability and high precision. Simultaneously developed dedicated 5-axis vises and multi-clamping vises to boost machining efficiency, laying a solid foundation for factory automation.

2021~

In 2019, the company began developing all-steel 5-axis vises and zero-point positioning systems. Although the pandemic delayed the launch, the extended R&D effort resulted in the most comprehensive lineup of 5-axis vises on the market.

In 2026, Safeway’s Plant B (spanning 1,800 square meters) is slated for completion.
